Dipkar in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – On the late afternoon of 20 January 2017, Dipkar joined hands with Red Cross Society of An Phu Ward and Youth Union of An Phu Ward to organize the program “Yellow Apricot of Love for a Warm Spring 2017”. Dipkar’s members handed out nearly 400 gifts and twigs of yellow apricot along with our message of love and compassion to poor workers who live far away from home, elderly people without caregivers, poor students, etc. at Thanh My Loi Ward and An Phu Ward in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. Especially there were handwritten New Year greetings cards from pupils as a way of expressing their compassion for the poor. On the morning of 24 January 2017, we continued to give 30 TET gifts and yellow apricot twigs to poor people at Binh Trung Dong Ward, District 2.
We attributed the success of the program to the dedication of the Red Cross Society of An Phu Ward and Youth Union of An Phu Ward, especially the external sponsors who are very kind-hearted and provided us with both human and financial supports. We, Dipkar’s members, would like to express our deepest gratitude towards the authorities of District 2 and the external sponsors, including Co May Rice Company, for their invaluable support. We hope to receive their constant support for Dipkar’s charity programs in the future. We wish all of you a very happy lunar new year!
